One Kind Act

Do you ever get weary?

That's how have been for the past few days. Over the past couple of weeks I've had to fight the enemy over some of the littlest things. You know, he makes mole hills into mountains.

Anyway yesterday I took my weary spirit and my children to Wal-Mart. It was past time to buy groceries. We were out of everything. By the way, my children are a huge help to me now as we grocery shop. I would mostly go while they were in school so I did it all myself.  Things have changed, they are older and are home schooled now, Both can and happily do a lot of the work. J

After paying my huge grocery bill - feeling more weary. We headed out to the car. I told the kids to get on in because the parking lot was busy. I started the car to get some a/c going. Then started loading the groceries into my car. The family in the car beside us came by, and as I was almost done, I hear a ladies voice say “Would you like me to take your buggy, I don’t mind” I look up to see her smiling and willing. “Ummm sure, Thank you so much, that’s very kind of you” I said. “Oh no, problem“ she was still smiling as she walked away with my cart.

I don’t know her personally. But I do know the Lord used her. HE knew how weary I was. He knew I needed a kind act and a smiling face. HE sent her by just to be a blessing to me.

I think I learned a lesson from this stranger. I want to be like her in this way, I want to be a person looking to be a blessing to others even in the smallest ways. J One kind act could make a world of difference to someone.

I hope you have a great weekend!

Be a blessing to someone! J

  2. Sometimes, it can become easy to get weary in this chaotic society that we live in.

I enjoyed reading this testimony. Sometimes, God lends us a helping hand in the smallest ways, and if we are not paying attention, we will miss the blessing. Thankfully, you didn't miss it, yeah! :)

  4. What a blessing! I'm always grateful for the little things. And I know exactly how the grocery bill can cause weariness! (((hugs)))
